Children of Grenfell Tower

The trauma that the children of Grenfell Tower are suffering from, is unprecedented. A year on and the flashbacks and the memories of that night are still ongoing for these children. Some are now showing signs of PTSD. Under 5 year olds are suffering with separation anxiety and bed wetting.

So much help and support needs to be given to these children, who do not understand why they feel like they do. The families of the children struggle to keep going themselves. Many feel suicidal and struggle with day to day life, not being able to see any kind of future.

The physical injuries can heal over time, but the mental scarring is quite something else. Stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, these are all symptoms which are not going to dissolve so readily or easily.
